Review: Wolverine #63

March 11th, 2008

I think this is going to rank up there with the Greg Rucka run as a favorite of mine. And this is only the second issue in.

As shown by the opening the pages, we see some more of Logan’s past that he shares with Raven Darkholme. But in this issue we also see Wolverine trying to ‘get Mystique’ in the present day as he continues to carry out his orders given to him by Cyclops in the last issue.

This is a very, very good issue. Jason Aaron is on point with all of the characters here. We’re reminded that Mystique is a villain. And a very good one at that. And Wolverine? Well, he is the best at what he does. While I tend to enjoy Ron Garney when he’s inked by Bill Reinhold or Dan Green, he’s doing a damn fine job here. The art is crisp, clean, and dirty when it needs to be.

This is a story that cannot be missed.

Recommended.
