“My first inclination is to try to be clever and say that I have 100,000 relatives to thank…. but I won’t,” said Kick-Ass artist and co-creator John Romita Jr. “I’m extremely proud of this all, and very excited about working on the next two chapters!”

Mark Millar, co-creator and writer of Kick-Ass added, “The idea that a twenty-five dollar book has hit 100,000 sales in a little over a month is just insane. Especially when this doesn’t count all the international orders or the trade paperback we have coming up. That’s roughly ten times what Johnny and I were expecting and we would like to thank the comic-book retailers in America for their support of this book. This was not cheap and they took a gamble on us and I promise that Johnny will buy each and every one of them a drink at every convention he ever hits from now on.”

With the feature film hitting theatres this Friday, no comic book fan can afford to miss the hardcover taking the world by storm—it’s time to Kick-Ass!

This is the end of the Marvel Universe as you know, but what’s the price of victory? The comic book event seven years in the making begins here as every major Marvel character gets involved in the greatest assembly of heroes and villains you’ve ever seen!

Critics and fans agree—Siege is a hit!

“Siege #1 works incredibly well, building off the layered tapestry Marvel has woven over the past several years while retaining focus and a sense of purpose that kicks off Marvel’s 2010 with style. I’m truly looking forward to what’s around the corner and what new developments this will lead to in the coming year.”—Richard George, IGN.Com

“Siege thrives on the sheer pulp insanity of a lot of its concepts… thanks to Marvel’s commitment to crafting a coherent universe for its characters, signals the start of a major shift in its status quo.”– Benjamin Birdie, ComicBookResources.Com

“Coipel just knocks it out of the park… in terms of pacing and above all action, this is certainly my favorite Bendis-penned megaevent yet”—David Pepose, Newsarama.Com

The red hot creative team of Andy Diggle and artist Roberto De La Torre take the reins of Daredevil and send him into deadly uncharted territory! Meanwhile, the Kingpin names a new lieutenant and begins his newest plan. This is the perfect jumping on point for this critically acclaimed series! Plus, this second printing features De La Torre’s stunning interior artwork on the cover!

Critics and fans alike are raving about Daredevil:

“I’m convinced that [De La Torre], like Diggle, was the right choice for Daredevil. Daredevil #501 is a great start for the Diggle and De La Torre creative team.” – Greg McElhatton, ComicBookResources.com

“Diggle steps to the plate with some strong writing. [De La Torre] adds a dynamic dimension to the book that’s been missing for some time. Their new status quo is rich with promise, and they seem to have a strong grasp on the characters without being overly reverent. I’m ready for another exciting ride.” – Dan Phillips, IGN.com

“Powers is one of the most important books of my life,” said Bendis. “Mike and I have dedicated so much blood sweat and tears to it, and to think our baby just turned ten ears old seems crazy to me. If you dig my stuff on spider-woman, daredevil, or alis, you will love powers. And that’s a promise.”

Well, then you gotta hear what critics have been saying about the series for years:

“It’s Bendis’ ability to create such a wide array of human personalities, combined with the sleek, dark-hued drawing of Oeming, that makes Powers a special book…Grade A-“—Ken Tucker, EW.Com

“One of the best books on the market”—Humphrey Lee, AintItCoolNews.Com

“Don’t hesitate picking this book up. Go on. Get to it”—Hilary Goldstein, IGN.Com

“There’s no good reason why you shouldn’t be reading this”—ComicsBulletin.Com

Marvel is thrilled to announce that The Torch #1 has sold out at Diamond (though copies may still be available at retail level) and will return with The Torch #1 Second Printing Variant! The red-hot creative team of the legendary Alex Ross, acclaimed scribe Mike Carey, and rising star artist Patrick Berkenkotter present the return of Toro! Now that he’s back, courtesy of his friend Captain America, can Tom Raymond ever find a sense of belonging in a world so different from the one he knew? Not if the man who killed him, the maniacal Mad Thinker, has anything to say about it! Plus, this second printing features the stunning interior art of Patrick Berkenkotter on the cover!

Critics and fans alike are crazy about The Torch:

“The multi-layered script kept me “thinking” about the story long after I had actually finished reading the book itself. Mike Carey has managed to pull off that extremely rare trick of making the reader look closely again at a character whom they thought they knew everything about.” – Marlowe Lewis, MajorSpoilers.com

“The Torch #1 is an engaging read… It’s a far more intimate and thoughtful look at a classic Marvel character, and it’s worth a look.” – Jesse Schedeen, IGN.com

“A nice salute to the history of the Marvel Universe… Like many of the best stories in comics, this one came out of nowhere and stuck to me. Definitely worth the price.” – Doug Zawisza, ComicBookResources.com

“A wonderfully written issue… The Torch #1 was a fantastic read. Carey constructs a deep and complex read.” – Rokk Krinn, ComicBookRevolution.net

Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on all Torch issues, as the series continues to garner significant praise from both critics and fans everywhere. What does the Mad Thinker plan to do with the corpse of Jim Hammond, the original Human Torch? Can Toro survive this encounter with the man that has already killed him once? Find out all the answers in The Torch #1 Second Printing Variant!
