Hey Spenny, thanks for listening. There are a crapton of comic shops in Southern California. Most of them are pretty small but good fun. I would say the most famous in LA are Golden Apple on Melrose and not too far away is Meltdown Comics. I am not super familiar with San Diego but what do you like in a shop? Indy stuff? back issues? collectibles? Creator appearances? The back issue stuff is hit or miss out here generally because of the cost of rent. There are lots of creator signings in the area but obviously those are on a schedule. The Long Beach Comic Book Exposition is at the end of the month but I think that is probably too late. In Pasadena I really like Comics Factory and in the Valley there is House of Secrets (Burbank) and DJ’s Universal (Studio City). These are just a few. I could probably name a good 15 or so but the smaller shops are usually not worth much of a detour.
